Tourism Agency for West Lampung is holding
an event on TanjungSetia Beach Resort, which is well-known for board-surfing as
it has as big waves as Bali does. The event is scheduled to start from June 9th
to 10th, 2012. The event activities include fish-archery, swimming, surfing,
beach volley ball, and art gallery. Further information is available at Tourism

As Tanjung Setia beach resort is already
famous worldwide, especially in Australia, from which many surfing enthusiasts
come, the event on June 9th to 10th, 2012, is expected to be professionally
held by the event organizing committee for the simple reason that there is a
possibility of foreign visitors planning to visit Tanjung Setia on the same dates.
So, the event is going to give a golden opportunity to West Lampung government
to promote Tanjung Setia as one of the best surfing holidays in Indonesia.
It is also hoped that Tourism Agency will
promote this event to countries where many surfing enthusiasts live and cooperation
with tourist agencies around Indonesia is also important. One thing to keep in
mind is that the organizing committee should make sure that the event is not
going to be like a popping marketplace that is swamped by too many local
visitors. This will only cause Tanjung Setia beach to become polluted with
litter.
