University of Lampung (Universitas Lampung)

Lampung University has been long established and become one of the favorite universities. University of Lampung (Unila) is strategically located in Gedung Meneng, on Jl. Sumantri Brojonegoro No.1 not far away from Lampung Museum or Rajabasa bus terminal of Bandar Lampung. It is about 7 km from the center of the city. Students can go there by bus or their own vehicles. University of Lampung (Unila) started its operation in this new location (Gedung Meneng) in 1979. It used to be located in Telukbetung next to Bank of Indonesia on Jl. Hasanuddin, Bandar Lampung. Unila (University of Lampung) was founded 1960.

At present, Lampung University consists of 9 faculties—economics, law, social science and politics, pedagogy and education, mathematics and science, farming, technique, and mathematics. And now Unila is preparing to open medicine faculty. It is hoped that Lampung University will have many graduates who will be serving the Republic of Indonesia and her nation.

Apart from University of Lampung, there is also an Open University that helps accommodate those who are not accepted as students of Lampung University. This Open University also belongs to the government of Indonesia. So, if graduates of Senior High School are not accepted at Unila, do not be disappointed, Open University offers quality education as well. When you graduate from Open University, you will have the same treatment as graduates of Lampung University (Unila)
